replace oil in baking

You can replace the oil or butter in a baking recipe with an equal amount of applesauce.

You can also put about 1/4 cup of applesauce in all of your cookie recipes to keep them soft and chewy for days! My Nana always did this and her cookies were always so soft.

I love this idea, but I tried it with a box mix of cookies that called for oil. They didn't have the same consistency, though they did taste good still. Maybe its better when the recipe is from scratch!
